DIY: WINTER CARE

Waaoo!! Winters have just arrived with lovely winter wears, cold breeze, favourite veggies..but with all the goodies, winters comes with dehydrated skin.
 Reason?
- Our blood circulation slows down in winter and we start to feel lazy in winter, due to cold.

So here am sharing with you few do's and don'ts during winters, leaving behind healthy, smooth and supple skin.

Do's & Dont's:

1. Oil Massage:
Give yourself a pre-bath almond oil massage. It tones the muscles and aids blood circulation .

2. Exfoliate :
Exfoliate dead skin using sugar and lemon juice, be it your face, lips, hands or feet.

3. Pamper your Hands & Feet:
Soak your hands and feet in lukewarm water with a pinch of salt added to it. Pat dry and then moisturize them with a lotion made of few drops of mustard oil, pinch of turmeric powder and few drops of lemon juice.

4. Moisturizing:
Moisturize your skin with a nourishing lotion or simply use glycerin twice a day. When going outdoors, coat exposed skin with SPF15 to protect against water loss.

5. Avoid Alcohol:
Lotions and creams containing alcohol are a big 'NO NO' for winters as it will dry out the skin.

6. Avoid Hot Water:
Use normal water to wash hands & feet and lukewarm water for bathing. Hot water washes away skin's natural moisture.

7. Avoid Heaters:
Heaters evaporates the moisture quickly, which results in dry flaky skin. So avoid heaters, warm yourself with winter wears instead.

8. Water:
People just don't feel as thirsty when the weather is cold. But in winters its very important to maintain body's moisture, so keep drinking water and have a healthy skin.

Happy Winter..!! :)
Until next time..Be Your Beautiful Self..!!
