5 Short Chic Hairdo you should try this summer!

Everyone is welcoming summer with a huge change in the wardrobe. But how many of us are switching up our hairdo? Try some short chic haircut that are totally easy to pull off at the long beach days and hot summer nights. Confidence- yes that is what women with short hair portray, they do not rely on the obvious feminity that the long hairs provide. You can be different and stand out in the crowd making your own classy and trendy style statement. You can flaunt your feminine features that generally stay covered under that long hair.

Listing out 5 trendy chic short haircuts for a drastic change. Take a look at how to chop the long tresses in favour of a super-short 'do.

1. Tousled Bob – Chop your hair, razor the ends and lengths that swings exactly above the shoulders. The short and sassy hairstyle with small curls gives the perfect tousled bob. Celebrities like Anushka Sharma, Cameron Diaz, Scarlett Johansson and many more are seen flaunting the most cutting edge style. This cut can turn heads on people with medium wavy hairs and makes shorter hair look voluminous and sexy. For a round face keep the front ends a little longer to make your face look slim.

2. Pixie Cut-This short hairstyle will flatter anyone. A pixie cut can be really sexy, elegant and smart at the same time. The biggest, boldest and bravest stars were seen carrying this style with so much oomph and elegance. Anne Hathaway, Jennifer Lawrence , Emma Watson to name a few, chopped their long hair into this fun and spunky hairstyle. This cut works great for oval shaped face. You can be a stunner while carrying this cut confidently.

3. Angled Bob- It’s chic and super flattering. Jennifer Aniston, Jessica Alba , Victoria Beckham are making this trend a keeper for us.  For a youthful and fresh take on those old cuts one should go for the angled bob. Just add some edges to the sharp angled ends and lengths at the front. This cut gives a soften touch to the people with strong  jawline and is perfect for rounded faces as it is worn straight and therefore limits the volume on the sides of the face which is how round faces are generally accentuated instead of refined.

4. Short blunt- it’s classic, stylish, and easy to maintain with regular trims. This is a haircut which is designed for straight, medium to short length hair. At the tips get a slightly curled-under effect. Not to make it look like a 80’s cut, it should not be totally curled, that can work as a vintage look. This is a timeless hairstyle that is feminine and classy, and it suits all face shapes like that of Eva Longoria, Mena Suvari.  Add a few layers below chin level for extra volume and definition. With a short blunt hairstyle you will look beautiful, graceful and charming.

5.Asymmetrical Bob- A true asymmetrical bob, is long at the front and short at the back, creating a striking contrast. This hairstyle works best with straight, fine hair as it makes the most of your hair’s natural texture. This hairstyles are popular on short hair but that isn’t a rule. You can wear it on medium and long hair. You can look absolutely stunning with the chin length asymmetrical bob.  Akshara Hassan, Rihanna, Paris Hilton carried this flirty and carefree asymmetrical bob. When having your hair cut, consult with your stylist before deciding which side of your hairdo to leave longer.

Go for a change ..Be bold & Carefree :)

Get set to splash

The playfulness this festival entails makes us forget about our anxieties and makes us relive the youthfulness, the fun side of us. Get set to splash with the brightest colours of holi.

How you are going to style the whites this holi?  White makes the perfect background to showcase all the rainbow colours. White is the colour that keeps the spirit of holi alive. Grab different bright colours with open arms like the way white does. Always wear something that you won’t regret even if it gets spoiled in the colour splash.
Have a look at few picks that may interest you:
Salwar/ churidar and kameez – Go the ‘bollywood way’. Pick a white kameez pair it with a churidar or salwar like our bolly heroines do in many of the holi songs. Go for a full white ensemble that will show off the Holi colours brilliantly.

Kurti & palazzo - If complete white is too boring then combine whites with prints to create some interesting combination. Palazzo is very much in trend these days. It’s comfortable and you can look trendy this holi.

Shorts & tops/shirts - Use your imagination and go crazy, after all it is Holi – the festival of colours! Everybody remembers ‘balam pichkari’. I just love the way deepika styled herself in cute hot pants and a red shirt. Yes of course go ahead and pair white with red or yellow or anything bright, Even its bright, who cares, it’s holi!

Some tips to play safe :
1. Oil your skin and hair before the play.
2.Protect your nails from being coloured, coat them with nail paints.
3.Use a sunglass to protect your eyes from a misfire of colour.
4.Use sunscreens 30 minutes before you start playing holi, dyes in the colours makes the skin vulnerable to sun burns, darkening and rashes.
5.Do not scrub before washing off the colours, instead use cleanser or baby oil.

Have A Happy & Colourful Holi..!!

Go for light brown and tan boots in summers that won't draw all the attention to your feet. But i just love black!!

I styled myself in a easy to breathe in v-neck black dress and my comfy boots. Scan through your winter buys and find something you can re-invent this summer.Step out confidently with a summer hat and a tote. And there you are the coolest in hot summers.

DIY : FIGHT BODY ODORS

Are you a smelly baby?? Do people stay away from you calling you 'stinky'? Do people gift you deodorants on your birthdays?? If the answer is 'Yes'..then you are gripped by the most unlikable thing- Body Odor!!

Body odor a huge embarrassment and awkward moment for many. And now that the summers are here, its difficult to stay sweat free. Body odor can really harm your confidence and social life. Even after using deodorants and antiperspirants few people still face the problem. What's the solution?

Three glands are responsible for body odor apocrine glands, eccrine glands and sebaceous glands. The best way to prevent body odor and sweat is to wash away bacteria thoroughly and regularly.

What cause body odor?
- Wrong diet, gorging upon spicy food, fungal infection, lack of hygiene, zinc deficiency, alcoholism and lot many reasons causes body odor.

Remedies to eliminate body odor :
1. Avoid Spicy Food:

Certain foods have the potential to make our sweat more pungent. We don't fully digest garlic onion curry, they leave the pores open with the sweat and create a strong smell.

2.Tea tree oil:

It is a bacteria killing agent. Dilute tea tree oil and rub some on the underarms. Go for a patch test before applying it.

3. Lemon:
Citric acid not only kills bacteria but also whitens underarms. Rub a slice of lemon on underarms before shower.

4.Vinegar:

Use white vinegar on cotton balls and apply on arm pits. You can also store it in a spray bottle making it easier to use.

5.Baking Soda:

Mix baking soda and lemon juice to form a paste. Apply this on underarms, wash it off after 10 minutes. It acts as a natural deodorant.

6.Alcohol:

While bathing add alcohol to a mug of water, rinse your underarms, this reduces pH of the skin and eliminates odor.

7.Keep it clean:

Wax your underarms regularly. Hair slows sweat evaporation. It is very essential to keep your underarms clean.

8.Wear breathable clothing:

Its very important to watch what you are wearing in summers. Wear natural fibers that can breathe and decrease sweating.

I hope few of these tips work for you, if you know more to combat body odor, will be happy to hear you. Do let me know in the comments below.

Stay odorless this summer :)

New Year's Pick: Pakistani Suit

Hello all.. :)
It has been a long time since i posted anything on the blog. Reason being the wedding season, its the season of crazy parties and lots of fun. Everybody gets totally busy attending weddings..celebrating new year and in between all those fun and celebrations, i could not post anything from one long month.

Today i am here to share what i wore to the new year party :)
Yeeeaa that was a palazzo suit, which was very much a pakistani suit. I grabbed this from Anshu & Kayal [AK] store. They have a wonderful and a large collection of ethnic wear. Instantly fell in love with all of them but picked the exquisite pink suit for myself.

The suit has a cut in the middle and palazzo pants at the bottom. The cut gives a view of the wide palazzo. It makes your legs look longer and are so comfortable, that you would wish to live in them.

Its smart, elegant and stylish. I paired it with high heels, to get the maximum glam effect and ensured that they graze the floor even with the tallest heels i own ;)

Rock the desi palazzo look :) as these pants were introduced by the pakistani designers. They are very much in demand in the bridal collection.
Grab these online at [Myntra] / [Jabong] / [Fashionandyou]

Today's pick: Purple Dress

Hello everyone!
Hope that everyone had a great weekend..Hubby and i had a great one, hosting friends at our place. I quickly snapped few pictures for my blog of this little purple dress before weekend party.

It is inevitable that the dark colors like black will make your body look slimmer, but get out of your comfort zone and try striking colors like purple. I simply love the fit of the dress,it is super comfortable and cinched at the waist. It's cut gives a feminine flair for a perfect look. It is simple and elegant & can be dressed up depending on the occasions.

Since purple and gold look so well against each other, I paired it with a black n golden clutch, golden pumps & a beaded necklace from Fashion N You.

Go purple..and look amazing..!!
